HEART OF HANNAH RENEWAL/RECOVERY GUIDELINES
ADMISSION PROCEDURES
1. Personal belongings are searched upon admission and discharge. When you go for a visit your belonging will be searched upon returning back into the facility. We have the right to search your belonging at any given time. As well as all mail is to be unsealed when placed inbox outside office door.
2. H.O.H. is not responsible for valuables retained by client (money which we are to keep in a lock safe) (watches, jewelry or anything of value to you).
3. Drug and/or alcohol testing upon admission.
4. If you do not complete our program, if you leave after 5:00 pm you will need to give staff 24 hours to pack your belongings. You only have 7 days to pick up belongings or they will be discarded from our facility.
​BASIC RULES
1 Possession/use of alcohol/drugs is prohibited.
2. There are NO visitors allowed except during visitation.
3. All medication (includes anything in pill, cream, or liquid form) is kept in our Medicine room and is given to you for you to take at allotted time. (Medicine given at 9:00 am and 8:15 pm unless prescription states any other times)
4. All staff and clients are treated with respect. Inappropriate language and/or threats may result in discharge, or legal action.
5. Pairing off/sexual acting out (touching, hugging, kissing, etc.) will result in immediate discharge.
6. No visiting in bedroom of another client or staff.
7. No congregating in rooms, hallway or around the phone area.
8. No congregating around the office door. (Never sit and look in trying to get the attention of a staff to get what you want right then, wait until you are invited in by a staff).
9. NEVER EVER BORROW ANYTHING!!! (Jewelry, Clothes, Razors etc.).
10. Television, Radios, Movies, Games & Other Types of Entertainment
11. No personal TV’s, Radios, or Walkman’s are allowed.
12. Television hours are variable, depending on facility activities.
13. Staff may at any time intervene if a program is inappropriate. Inappropriate includes: Excessive violence, Excessive strong language, Sexual Contents, Music Video’s,
14. No hand held games of any kind are permitted.
TELEPHONE USE, CELL PHONE OR PAGER
1. Phone calls are Saturday for 15 minutes while sitting at hallway desk or in the office, leaving from the chair would result in a write up and loss of phone call (we work on levels and some levels get 30 minutes) (Refer to level sheet).
2. Sign in and Sign out on all phone calls
3. Absolutely no cell phones or pager are allowed.
4. Never talk to your family about another client.
5, Business phone calls are made Monday through Friday with Ms. Narvis approval. All business calls will be verified by staff.
6. Never call family or anyone at your employment, if H.O.H. finds out then it could be a cause for your dismissal.
7. Never use computer at work to go on your E-mail, Facebook, Twitter or anything else, this would be a cause for a dismissal if H.O.H. finds out.
DRESS CODE
1. Appropriate dress is required at all times. No borrowing clothes. All jeans or slacks must be women’s clothing, no men’s clothing is allowed.
2 Tops, pants, shorts that are deemed by the staff as too short, too tight, or to provocative are prohibited.
3. Clothing that contains offensive language/pictures is prohibited. Gang related paraphernalia is prohibited. No tongue or facial piercings except in the ear.
4. Appropriate sleepwear must be worn at all time.
5. Shoes are to be worn at all time (due to Insurance purposes).
6. Robes are required when getting out of shower.
PERSONAL HYGIENE
1. Clients are expected to take responsibility for their own personal care. This involves daily showering, deodorant, brushing teeth, etc. If you don’t have these things check with the staff.
2. Your Laundry will be done on a certain day of the week by our staff. Emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis.
3. No personal books are to be brought into facility other than a Life Recovery Bible that is required upon admission. We have a Library full of books for you to read. Never take one of H.O.H. books on visit or to your job.
MEALS AND SNACKS
1. A weekly menu is posted on refrigerator.
2. No food is to be removed from the dining room, no food or drinks allowed in bedrooms. Routine checks will be done daily. Any and all food found in room will be confiscated and thrown away, consequences given. No food is to be brought in by outsiders unless approved by staff.
3. No food or drinks in H.O.H. vehicles.
4. Snacks will be provided by H.O.H. each evening at 8:10 pm.
5. No coffee after 10:30 April through October. No coffee after 2:00 pm November through March.
6. No caffeine drinks except when we have them at meal time and once on Saturday. No candy ever back into facility, hard or soft.
HOUSE KEEPING – CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Make bed daily (if not right your bedspread will be removed and things will be brought out from under bed or dresser until you get them right).
2. Dirty clothing is to be placed in your hamper.
3. Each client will be assigned a monthly chore.
4. Toiletry shelves (2nd Saturday all items removed and wiped down), dresser drawers and under beds must be neat and in order at all times.
5. The day room is to be kept straight at all times.
6. No sleeping or lying down in the day room (do not lay our cushions in the floor use your pillow).
MONEY & VALUABLES
1. You may keep no more than $5.00 on you at one time after your first six weeks.
2. Money, checks, debit card, gift cards or credit card will be placed in an account and locked up in a safe in Staff office.
3. No expensive jewelry.
SPOUSE
1. For visitation with spouse we have the right to ask for a marriage licenses.
2. If you are legally separated visitation will need to be with other family members only.
MEDICAL
1. You must have records from your Doctor and Hospital
2. You must have a TB within a year with medical record, HIV and HEP test 90 days prior to coming in (positive results will not exclude you from our program). No borrowing from anyone, because we want to protect you.
3. All medication must be approved by staff according to our policies and procedures before entry of H.O.H.
4. We do not give Benadryl, any PM meds or Meds with alcohol in them. No Nyquil or narcotic cough meds, and all over the counter meds must be approved by staff.
5. You are to never talk with another client about your medication or any medical history. You may be the one to make them relapse if that is spoken about.
SERVICES OFFERED
1. We work with Probation/Parole agencies to provide information and support.
2. We work with you regarding your treatment plan with DSS, visit, phone calls and after completing six months with meeting other requirements (parenting classes and etc.).
COST
1. H.O.H. service fees covers our program, which is $125.00 a week and the first six weeks has to be paid upon arrival and are non-refundable (that are paid by you, family friend or church family). We will hold a bed if it is paid in advance due to sickness etc. You are never to be more than three weeks behind in service fees.
2. After being in-house for 6 weeks, we will take you out to seek for employment and cost for transportation is $5.00 per day.
3. You must get all your personal supplies when you go on a visit since we are limited to time and staff.
You are to always to leave your mail unsealed when you are mailing out and
also when you receive mail you are to open it in front of staff.

The first six week you are in 3 classes a day for six weeks,
then our driver will take you out to seek for employment.
You may work Monday through Saturday as early as 7:00 am til 5:00 pm.
No Sunday work until you complete program.
